I did a search and nothing related to this came up, so I hope I'm not covering old ground.
Anyways, has anyone tried that Mother's buffer thing that you stick on the end of a drill and it has this big red ball on the end that's suppose to get in those tough to reach places to clean and buff. I'm thinking about getting the one with the longer stem, but want to hear if they're any good before buying.

I've got one and it works great. Do make sure you have some metal polish to use with it for wheels.

Have you used it to clean your wheels? I don't mind hand polishing my wheels because I don't do it all that often. But I clean the wheels a lot, and I hate using those nylon brushes... too much of a pain in the butt.

Yes, it will reach all the way inside the rear wheels and clean the backside as well. The fronts have a larger rotor so it won't reach all the way inside but still does a good job.
I also used it to clean a 10 year old Toyota chrome truck bumper that was so far gone it was almost white. Front and rear were done in about 20 minutes and they both looked new. It knocked off the crud and the rust.......I was amazed as was the owner.
I bought both the large & small with polish on Ebay for $52.00 delivered. I'll be using the large one on an aluminum truck toolbox as soon as the guy can spare the truck for a day.....full detail.
It will suck the battery down very quickly on a cordless drill. I switched over to a corded one and it did a much better job. This depends on the size of the job of course.
