View Full Version : 99,000 Miles!!!
Accord4Life 04-08-2006, 11:13 AM Today the 96' turned 99,000mi!   I was quite lucky to have a camera with me that very moment. (Awkwardly it also happened as I pulled into my driveway!) Anyways, I can't wait till 100k! That will require some form of showing my appreciation for her!

Mike!
Accord4Life 04-08-2006, 11:14 AM Maybe for the 99k present I'll get some gas... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
princess 04-08-2006, 11:16 AM Poor car! It's EMPTY!! :paranoid:
honda761 04-08-2006, 11:19 AM You have a lot of cars!
Accord4Life 04-08-2006, 11:22 AM No way! She has at least another 10miles on her!
That's the reason why Im going to need a new fuel pump soon... :lmao:
I really question that gauge. The light doesn't even come on until it's at like way way E. Then it goes off, and on intermittently. But yes, she does need gass, and I normally don't strain the poor helpless fuel pump like that.
Accord4Life 04-08-2006, 11:23 AM You have a lot of cars!
4 Of them, but the Pilot is my wife's!
princess 04-08-2006, 11:32 AM The light usually comes on at about 70 miles to go..... :dunno: I've done 85 miles & was really sweatin' it!! :paranoid: I don't look at the gauge since I don't do the filling.... I hopped in & went out garage selling..... got all the way across town & saw that the light was on & the car said 350 miles on the trip ODO. This was in my '86! I just turned off the air & rolled down the windows & kept going.... it made it home & he filled for me.
If I'd run out, he'd never hear the end of it!!! :lmao:
stevencrosbie 04-08-2006, 12:26 PM Maybe for the 99k present I'll get some gas... :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
I was gonna say....I mean I know gas is expensive and all....
I know you like taking life to the edge.....what ever edge that may be :naughty:
ItsaHonda 04-08-2006, 12:55 PM When the light came on in my 96 (and it never really came on all of a sudden, it would start to illuminate very dimly and eventually brighten) I still had approx. 4 gallons left in the tank. I never had to fill more than 14 gallons, even after I had run it well below E.
Congrats on 99k miles! I celebrated when my 96 rolled 160k miles... she got a new paint job

princess 04-08-2006, 04:39 PM The temp when it was last parked? The temp of the garage? :dunno:
You already have 40K?!! My Accord, which I've owned for 32 months is still under 19K! :dunno: I guess I do more shopping online!! :lmao:
Pilot4Life 04-08-2006, 04:43 PM :lmao: Well you thankfully don't have to drive two kids to all their sports/school/friend activities. And I also rack them up being a realtor and such. Online shopping really has helped me save time actually, but holding that bag walking out of your special/favorite store is is priceless.

princess 04-08-2006, 04:57 PM Welcome to the forum, hondachuck!!
Pilot4Life 04-08-2006, 04:58 PM Welcome Hondachuck! - You and I are noobs today!
princess 04-08-2006, 05:02 PM
The Mickey Mouse cufflinks I ordered for him arrived today!! I love being able to find weird stuff like that!! Our little mall doesn't have much: just Macys, Gottschalks, Mervyns & Sears.... then the smaller shops. They took our JC Penneys away. The Norstroms is 20 miles away.... :dunno: So online really IS my friend!! :D
Pilot4Life 04-08-2006, 05:07 PM I got Mike some really nice dress shirts from Armani online the other day. I saved alot over the stores in the mall. I also bought the acessories for my Pilot online (without any help!) from collegehills Honda. Mike installed them today after a good wash, the pictures (not the best, but photobucket wasn't being good to me today.) are in the gallery.
So I suppose Online shopping IS fun and helpful!!!
MasTRE 04-09-2006, 08:31 AM Congrats! I rolled 25,000 yest! You should always take the pic at the speed of the mileage (25 MPH in my case) :lmao:
Pilot4Life 04-09-2006, 09:46 AM Well for Mike there was no speed! He was just idling his way into the driveway. For me, I was going about 45mph down the feeder road until I could turn off into our neghibborhood! Hey, maybe I can get a pic of 45k at 45mph!
Happy Motoring,
Karen
