View Full Version : the specs on the 96 ex engine accordh22swap 01-07-2004, 12:31 PM hey i got some question about the 96 honda accord ex engine. how much boost can it handle and how much shots can it take. if anyone out there also knows the torque and hp of a stock ex engine hit this back princess 01-13-2004, 04:09 PM I didn't find the '96, but the '98 are: ex, 4 cyl: 160 @ 5700 (hp), 152 @ 4900 torque ex, V6: 200 @ 5500 (hp), 195 @ 4700 torque The info can be found on Honda.com, but it only goes back to '98. Hopefully someone else can help for the '96 you asked for. Haven't a clue on the "boost". BenjiBoy650 01-13-2004, 04:34 PM They're 145HP and I'd say around the same torque. They can handle quite a lot of boost, I've seen some F22's go up to 13PSI on the dyno, back down to 10PSI for daily driving, and with high mileage at that. The '98 F23A1 is 150HP, 152 lb-ft, the F23A4 is 148HP, 150 lb-ft. Inspector1 02-04-2004, 04:26 PM Check out this link for engine data f series..... http://www.accordinglydone.com/data/engines.php?Series=F I1:) princess 02-04-2004, 06:23 PM Now that's useful info!:D I don't understand what the "Aero" is or the "shuttle"..... but that's OK. Inspector1 02-04-2004, 06:30 PM Far right column EDM= European Domestic Market.... We don't get to see those vehicles..:bawling: My wife wants the European Accord Wagon. I1 BenjiBoy650 02-04-2004, 09:40 PM I know in certain countries Aero = hatchback. My best guess at shuttle? Probably wagon or van variant. Inspector1 02-05-2004, 05:30 PM Ding ding ding .. Benji gets the prize!!!!!!:D :D :D Shuttle= European Ody Aero = Accord Hatchback Aerodeck= Accord wagon 3rd-5th gen Here's another one Fuya-jo http://www.21stcentury.co.uk/cars/honda_fuya_jo.asp Toooooooo... It was prolly a bit too much when it first came out but I don't know anymore, seems like it might be good for production with a few modifications :) Toyota ---> Scion....Honda ---> ?? |
