We just bought a 1999 Honda Accord Sedan automatic with no manual. This is a stupid question but when you put the car in drive, do you use the "Drive" option or the "Drive 1, Drive 2,etc" option?

just normal drive
If you live in a snowy region, "2" comes in handy. Froma stand still, shift into "2". The car will start out in second gear and minimize wheel spin. Once you're under way, push the lever back up into drive. Only shift into 2 after you've come to a complete stop. The sudden down shift on sliperry roads might not be a good idea. :D
Also, if you're driving in some hilly terrain and the car keeps shifting, put it in D3. Grade logic control should help minimize this but if you're particularly loaded down with people and stuff, D3 could come in handy.

The car should generally start from 2nd gear anyway if you're doing a rolling stop...so coming to a full stop to force it to start from second is kinda a moot point.

As a side point you can order manuals for any year and model from Honda Ownerlink to replace lost.
