B service, coolant/brake fluid flush, B-pillar garnish replacement (all 4), window runner replacement front driver and rear passenger, put felt around rear tailgate to quell rattling, window switch replacement (all 4). Well the rattling is still there. The brakes are still mushy, only 4mm left on the front pads. The coolant is interesting. It looks pretty clear and it was boiling when I got home, and the temp gauge only read just above 80. How can it bubble at 80 celsius?! Even water doesn't bubble that low.

Now comes the good part. Glue left above the driver window. Water spots all over the car, along with fingerprints. Why? It didn't rain over the weekend and I told them not to run it into the wash. Even if they did, why would it leave water spots that wouldn't come off even after I washed it with a shammy? Even better, there's scratches on the hood. In the 4 years we've had it there's not one single scratch on it. Bring it into the dealer for four days and it comes back looking like someone put something heavy on it, then dragged it across the hood. WHY!!! And besides that they left white stuff all over the intake and engine cover, oil next to the filter. Oh joy. Oh joy more scratches, just found some in the door jambs down at the rocker panels. Oh great.

Then I turn into my driveway...the power assist on the steering is lagging. Turn the wheel and get assist a split second later. Why? Neither the '97 Camry (130K) or the '86 300E (126K) is like this. My '99 Accord (111K) is like this...but you shouldn't be able to compare an Accord to a Mercedes in that way

Also forgot to mention they replaced the sunroof tray...twice. They did the first one and it leaked. Should have just asked them to leave it along...no point fixing what aint broke :(

I'm only 16 and Mercedes has already lost a customer for life...damn I was looking forward to owning an S500 too but guess not anymore.

Copy & pasting repeats, repeats, repeats............

BB, Boy what a nightmare! My friend takes her Mercedes to a dealer in Walnut Creek & hasn't had any complaints about them. She takes it in all the way from Brentwood! She bought it over in Tracy or Livermore. I've never bother asking her why she doesn't take it in there for repairs & services,

(yes, people, we have a Brentwood up here. OJ's Brentwood in SoCal is actually just a neighbohood, not a town. Ours is actually a town.)

Good luck on the adventure of getting the car up to "par"!!
:D
