I have a sharp metallic noise that comes up mostly on turns, and a lot in the morning too. It seems to go away with brake usage but comes right back again a bit later. What do you guys think it is? I'm thinking it's the brake pads.
If it is the brake pads, how hard are they to replace DIY? And how do I convince my dad that my car is making noise since he refuses to believe anything and everything...

It could also be a dust shield or something that has gotten knocked loose and is rubing when your wheels are turned.
Brake pads are not too hard to replace, actually quite easy.

I just checked all the pads and both the inner and outer still look like they have material on them. And of course you know my dad drives it and it doesn't make noise. He's just like the dealer, everything you bring it in, it's on its best behavior.
