Yes, she sprung a leak a few days ago and I am worried this might be the case.

I have had another leak since and I dreaded head gasket leak as the ledge right along it on the passenger side had traces of suspicious staining. Other than that the whole block and connections were bone dry. The car sometimes leaked sometimes did not. When it did, I could only determine that it was coming somewhere in the center of the engine block. No signs in the oil whatsoever either. I took it to the dealer, they pressure tested the whole system and it passed with flying colors….and the next day I still had two table spoonfuls on the driveway. Finally I had them put a fluorescent dye into the coolant and sure enough I could spot the traces along the head gasket ledge again. On closer inspection of the water housing on the front of the engine where the short hose connects the block and the rad I came to the appalling conclusion: the water housing was substandard as I could spot a 1/16 clearance between the block and the part. This was not “tighten the bolts issue”. I decided to replace it. It’s fairly cheap about $15 CDN. They told me I had to purchase both housing and the gasket as a unit part# 19360-PAA-A00 (I did not mind since I wanted the housing anyways) but when the order came in I found out there was no gasket in the package! Upon pointing it out I received a separate package with a gasket alone under different part # 19313-PTO-000. So if you need a gasket alone don’t get taken for the whole shebang, it will cost you only $2!
The water housing I took off was cheap plastic and either warped or was not true flat on factory install! $$$$$ The replacement is aluminum, thin but still much better in the long run.
I have no more leaks.
