Looking at my 06 EX-L Non Navi climate/radio display in the right light at the right angle, you can see all the different words that can appear on the screen. Next to each of the temperature number displays (one for driver, one for passenger) is the word "AUTO". When I put the A/C system into Auto mode, the left one (driver) comes on, but even setting the passenger temp differently does not make the other "AUTO" appear. Anyone knows when, if at all, it would come on? I know this is silly....

Thanks

"AUTO" will not appear for the passenger side. If "AUTO" is in the display, that means that both sides are in full AUTO mode whether or not you're in DUAL mode.

If you're describing what I think you are, I bet the same LCD screen is used in head units for different countries with slightly different features. Maybe its even for cars that are right hand drive? Some Acura models have AUTO buttons for the driver and pass side. In other cars with a similar set up, there may be a driver and pass AUTO in the display. :dunno:

Probably just RHD/LHD friendliness.

Probably just RHD/LHD friendliness.

I think you hit it dead on...I remembered seeing a pic of a RHD radio in another thread on the forum...here's the pic....

You can see the AUTO is on the other side...so its just 1 LCD panel for all countries (aka lower production costs).

Everything else is reversed compared to US spec cars, too. Even the order of the AUTO, OFF, DUAL, etc buttons goes the other way.
