Do any of the tire shops in your area recommend or use Nitrogen to fill tires?? We have a local tire company pushing the fact that they air tires with Nitrogen(Like Nascar) +'s include larger molecule so less likely to slow leak, Inert gas is more stable and runs cooler at higher speeds..... Can be mixed with air with no ill effects........ It's amazing what companies will do to market themselves.... I have priced tires at this company and they always tend to be 40-75 bucks more per set.... I guess that covers their "FREE ALIGNMENT". Plus they push the Generic brands and off styles of major brands..... I guess the Guy that owns chain must have been in the mattress business before going into tires.. Hahaha!!!

Until they provide me with free nitrogen I'll stick to air :)

If you buy tires they provide it for free.... if not 4.95 per tire and they will reimburse with next tire purchase..Blablabla......
I used to have a fleet customer I would tease about switching out winter air to summer air in tires..... Always good for a laugh...hehe... Just like muffler bearings.... Or call parts supplier when they had a new counter guy and order a water pump and radiator hoses for a Corvair..Bruhahahaha

Well I did some research and about 78% of "air" is nitrogen and 21% of it is oxygen. Well that's 99% of all air, so putting in pure nitrogen is not much different. I understand now why the oxygen atom is smaller though....nice to actually put chemistry class to use lol.

Well in that case the molecules are much much larger...hey we could sell car exhaust as air for tires! Now that's an idea!

The tire shop doing this puts Green valve stem caps on all the cars they do... almost a Fluorescent green..... tooooo Muchhh:rolleyes: :rolleyes:
