How many of you have seen the new SSR convertible P/U on the road.... I would think there would be more on the coast than here in the Midwest... I've only seen one on the road so far..... I talked to one of the managers at the largest Chevy dealers here in Cincy today and they have had 3 come in so far.... 2 sold for 10k over sticker and 1 for 15k over...... It's amazing what people will pay to be the 1st on the Block to have one????
I also asked him about the Nomad... no time frame on release...
He said the SSR's been in the works for 3 years prior to release....
It looks like the Domestics are clawing to stay alive....
The Japanese market is putting a major hurt on their pocket books..... Saab has a new one coming out soon 9-2 = basically a Subaru Impreza with Saab sheet metal.... GM now holds 100% share of Saab and 20% share of Fuji Heavy Industries(Subaru)....
I guess if you can't beat em then Buy em......

I'm in San Francisco and I haven't seen any on the road yet, though I profess I don't drive much either :)

If this is their way of staying alive they're going to DIE very soon. The thing costs nearly $50k. It's slow, handles like the truck it is, but can't haul like a truck. So it performs like a truck but has all the room of a Corvette convertible. Not to mention I don't really like how it looks. No question in my mind, it's not going to sell when a new Accord V6 can keep up with it for half the price with more features and room to boot.
