Okay so my neighbor (a mechanic) changed the rear pads for me and the fronts still look okay so I left them on even though I bought all four corners. Didn't do a brake fluid flush. Now, I can pull my parking brake even higher than before I changed my pads. That doesn't make sense, shouldn't it be opposite? Is there a way to adjust this? Also, how should I break in the new pads?

Yes, it's adjustable, if it's drum. Disk are usually self adjusting with some driving time. I can email the scanned page of instructions. (It's read only on the network) If someone else doesn't manage to post the instructions, simply PM me & I'll get it to you.

Hmm mine is a disc so I guess I won't be adjusting them. I was just concerned because I looked at the delivery specs and the parking brake is supposed to fully engage in 6-9 clicks, mine goes up to probably about 11.

with time the tension does go down a bit. it feels a little more loose. mine was the same way... first day i got it, it felt tight but now it feels a little more loose. i don't sweat it tho cuz i leave my car in gear with the parking brake up as a precautionary measure. lets just say i've had one too many friends have their cars out in the middle of the street when they wake up in the morning.

I would leave it in gear but I've also heard horror stories about the tranny getting messed up if somebody slams into it. Hmm...the lesser of two evils.
