View Full Version : chains, cables, snow tires? princess 02-11-2004, 04:03 PM Which do you have for your Accord?? Inspector1 02-11-2004, 04:57 PM Nothing ... And it's not warm here all the time.. ha Thats what All season tread is for... If you can't make it up a hill there's always another way..... Very seldom do we see more than 6 " per storm and the road crews are pretty good at removal.. I1:) feferic 02-11-2004, 05:26 PM Don't use any right now -- we've been though a couple of good sized snow storms to (10-12").... the Honda just plows right though it, as long as I can get out of my driveway. LOVE the traction control and ABS -- it’s a dream (compared to my previous car) stiller fan 08-30-2004, 02:59 PM i have used blizzaks for the past three winters on my car...and have been driving in the snow (loving it!!! :D ) for 7 yrs. taught myself in an old 90 accord dx auto during a snowstorm... :D i have never gotten stuck, except once, when i hit a patch of ice and slammed into a hillside for 6500 bucks in damage. :censored: :bawling: still runs great though!!!!! ;) BenjiBoy650 08-30-2004, 08:45 PM Guy was nice enough to give me a set of chains when he sold it so I got some, they fit the Camry as well so it's all good :) anysia 08-31-2004, 03:30 AM never bothered with snow tires or anything, but it snows a decent amount here. ice is my fave! my dad made a huge deal of teaching us ho to drive in the snow, so i've never had many issues. i'll be re-learning some this winter though since it's my first time with a stick..... here's hoping the accord is as good as the 2 civics were for winter driving! BK6SPD 08-31-2004, 09:17 PM Jack stands!!!........My accord will be in the garage from November to April. :censored: NY Winters!!!! with &^%&*%&^% a :censored: Load of salt. Dave 09-01-2004, 06:24 AM Originally posted by anysia i'll be re-learning some this winter though i have to relearn too. went from an AWD to FWD vehicle. not to mention being a much bigger car. the good thing is i'll have the better part of a year in the Accord by the time the snow starts. all the old driving habits should be long gone by then. :D princess 09-01-2004, 06:55 AM Again, even with the prices, you all are making ne thankful to be living here in "sunny" California!!:D Coil99 10-22-2004, 09:05 AM  I voted "nothing....live in a warm place" I'm doing the banana dance because I grew up with Mass winters, so I'm happy not to have to worry about it now. Although, I do kinda miss the studded snow tires on my 68 Camaro... stiller fan 10-22-2004, 09:08 AM can't wait for the snow to get here....too anxious to keep waiting for anther 4-6 weeks.... brickman 10-22-2004, 09:47 AM Nothing...and I don't live in a warm place...like I1 said, that is what all season radials are for...and you drive a little slower. |
