Conundrum

Just wanted to run this all past you....About 2 weeks ago I installed an iPod interface, which involved gutting most of the trim around the radio/centre console area of my Accord, and when I put it all back together, I followed the MusicLink instructions.
Now this may just be me...but I've noticed that my shift boot keeps moving up and down a quarter of an inch from time to time, and I can't remember if it ever did this beforehand. When I reinstalled everything, I put the centre bin back first, screwed and cliped into place. Then the "not an ashtray" and cig lighter/acc power, then the gearshift trim. After this, I put the nut in place and then the shift knob on the car, tightened the bolt and finished the install.
I've double checked the MusicLink PDF a few times, and this is exactly what it says to do. But to me, it almost seems like I should have put the nut on first, then the gearshift trim then the shift knob (which would hold it all together with no slippage).
Just wanted to see if anyone else out there with a 7th gen 6spd can check and see how theirs was done...I'm not really planning on pulling that trim panel out again to just fix this (I can more than live with it the way it is right now, esp considering last time I did break a clip off that panel getting it out :paranoid: )...I'm just interested to see if I did in fact do things the "correct" way.
Thanks in advance.
