They do not stand behind their cars and give you a false sense of security that their "status" quo" means they're gonna take care of you when something goes wrong. Gillman, the service manager looks at any angle to cut costs and will try to prove a problem does not exist. Like my pulling problem..he replaced one guaranteed pulled belt due to severe pull to the right then wouldn't believe me when I said it was still pulling. I had to go to Discount tire to get a new tire which fixed the problem after a few rotations and swaps that Gillman wouldn't even touch it unless warranty could be applied somehow. Then when I came on a mild rain type day, they wouldn't touch it because it couldn't be tested And John Eagle Honda...their SERVICE DEPARTMENT will overtly try to mislead you or make you think a problem is not there or will try to sell you a ALIGNMENT when you might have pulled belt (atleast that's what John Eagle tried to sell me) The service guy was actually making "threats" to me that he was gonna "sell me" an alignment when nothing was wrong with my car even after I told him I allready got one. Don't be FOOLED. I would try Honda Southwest dealer..atleast they will keep it real..

We've used Gillman and John Eagle. We thought they were great when we lived in Houston. Maybe its changed. Still, my family uses Gillman religiously and they haven't had an issue.

I've heard from others before to watch out for Gillman's Service dept. but never anything about John Eagle. Russell and Smith's service department has always been reliable. Try them.

I always take tire warranty issues to a tire rep for those brand of tires. Never to the car dealer.

I was thinking the same thing. Although, there was another string a month or so back where someone had a pulling problem and got the dealer to swap 4 tires/wheels from another Accord to eliminate the problem. That (to me) was definitely the exception to the rule. My experience is that if you have a tire issue, go to to a tire shop that has a good relationship with the tire brand on your car, and work with THEM to resolve the tire issue....

i bought my car from gillman, and so far i like them...i like the guys working the express lube garage. most places i go try to change my oil at, they try to jack me, telling me i need to replace stuff like air filter, wipers, cabin filters, transmission fluid or what not...all of which i can easily do myself. at gillman, they just asked me if i've done it, and don't bother me further when i tell them i've already done it.

i would change my oil myself, but i'm lazy, and for 20 bux they do it, plus wash your car for free.
