cheaper Lojack install?

does anyone know if there are shops out there (akin to places that install car alarms) that do LoJack installs?

i called LoJack, and they're quoting the price at $700 (for the basic LoJack, no audible alarm). dealer is about same. a couple shops i called in the area don't deal with LoJack at all.

(obviously specific names aren't needed unless you're in the northeast, but i'm just curious if i'm running into a monopoly-type thing here).

also, does anyone know if it's cheaper or more expensive to install one on a car that's not brand new? LoJack person said they couldn't quote me a hypothetical price on that

I got LoJack in my 03 Accord at the time of purchase for $550. I think they got their money back elsewhere though :(, kinda took me for a ride on that sale...
