Quick question regarding payment

my parents were wondering when you go, do you need to have the cashier's check right away or can you come back on a different day to pay? thanks!

When we bought our ML we gave them a check but we told them not to cash it til 4 days later - no problems.

I paid for mine outright...so on initial signing I gave them 1000 (used visa) and then on delivery I paid with a bank draft I got a few days prior for the remainder of the amount (was cheaper than a cert. cheque or money order).

I have completed deals in three ways:

1 - Financed at the dealer.
2 - Financed through my credit union using the dealer.
3 - The dealer holds paperwork except buyers order and temporary registration until I brought back a bank draft from my credit union.

In all cases, I took delivery the same day, even in the case where I brough the check back to the dealer later.

It depends on the setup of the dealer's business office. Some are more "online" in their paperwork process than others. Probably worst case you would ink the deal and they would hold your car aside until you bring the check back.

oh ok! thanks everyone. i remember when my bf bought it he had to deliver the check the next day.

he still got to drive the car home though. hehe :D
