: Possible Price Offer for an '06 EX V6 MT?
HarlemV6Honda 06-14-2006, 06:28 AM Hey all,
This thread is primarily for those that own '06 EX V6 MT Sedans. If I may be so bold, what was the out the door price for your vehicle and what would be a reasonable asking price? A friend is looking to buy an '06 EX V6 MT and I'm looking to help. One of the dealers that he is working with is looking to do all of the haggling by e-mail and simply asked him to submit a price offer for the vehicle in question. Also, for those that have the Carbon Bronze, how readily available was that color? Thanks in advance ,

mark26420@AOL.C 06-14-2006, 06:38 AM $23,749 before TTL, for a 6 spd, 4 door w/o navi.
$25,300 after TTL.
flcma99 06-14-2006, 08:11 PM Check out the worksheets on CarBuyingTips.com. They have an offer worksheet the lets you factor in the incentives (currently $750 on sedans, maybe $1,000 on coupes still), the dealer holdback, and allows a "fair" profit percentage for the dealer. You can control the varibles and see how the offers from different dealers compare to this worksheet.
BTW, I don't have a V6, but like many of here at DA, I worked my deal over the internet using the available tools like the site above and Edmunds and KBB for price and incentive research.

HarlemV6Honda 06-19-2006, 12:07 PM The best price that my friend has received is 23,761.71. The only problem is that the dealer offering that price doesn't currently have 6-speeds in their inventory; the car would have to be ordered or transported from a dealer in the region. Thanks to all that replied.

is that for the two/four door, with or w/o navi?
Conundrum 06-19-2006, 01:04 PM Wow...it never ceases to amaze me how cheap cars in the US seem to us here in Canada. MSRP on a V6 6spd coupe w/o navi (not an option on our coupes) is $34,900 before PDI and taxes. With that factored in, anyone who pays MSRP is paying $41,641.50 out the door (and thats with no dealer installed options).

Here is the link to the download page -- http://www.carbuyingtips.com/download.htm
The "Buyer's Offer Spreadsheets" are about halfway down. There are notes on using the spreadsheets and many other spreadsheet to help with various parts of the deal from trade-in to financing.
There is alot of other useful information on the other pages, too.
apollo 06-19-2006, 06:24 PM Go here to the prices paid forum...........do some digging its a excellent resource for current going rates..........

flcma99 06-19-2006, 06:52 PM Only tough part of reading others "prices paid" is knowing what is on top of the low quote or finding a price paid that is comparable to your area (same regional price adjustments and tax, title, and tag rates) for Out-the-door (OTD) prices. Have to be careful to compare apples to apples.

I have a spreadsheet that can help you out. I calcuates the raw numbers so you know where the dealer is ripping you. Send me an email: Rkingtxtx@yahoo.com and I will send it to you. :D
chanke4252 10-21-2006, 08:16 PM I bought my '06 EX V6 6MT Coupe w/ Nav in August for 26,400 before tax from Ralph Schomp Honda in Littleton, CO. They had no BS fees that they tried to throw at me. I think the coupes might actually be a few dollars more when compared to the sedans, but I can't remember exactly and I'm too lazy to look it up. The quotes that I got on the sedans were a little lower on average than those that I got for the coupes (when I got them at least as the coupes with 6mt were very few in August. The '07's are a few dollars more for some reason, which really baffles me as they are exactly the same mechanically, compensating for inflation maybe? I dunno why the price difference, but you'd need to run the VIN to be able to really tell what year it is.
