No. TSX/TL is same platform. But different architecture/chasis. TL is actually not as long as the Accord, and is smaller on the inside. TSX is much smaller than the Accord. The new Civcs IMO are about the same size.

What is it with you people and black-- ESP honda black, it fades and looks gross in 2 years no matter what you do to it, and if you buff it, no matter what, the paint is so soft that you will always leave a swirl mark somewhere (they explained this to us in toyota/lexus paint school)

Hence why I went with Graphite...I was going to get black but I was worried about how it would look down the road plus after seeing graphite and black side by side I liked graphite more anyways. Hopefully it does fair better for me in the long run.... :paranoid:

Really? I thought that the TSX and global/euro Accord shared the same platform, and that the USDM Accord, USDM TL, and JDM Inspire were all the same chasis underneath (although heavily modified in the TLs case)...and that was why the TL's front and rear sway are a perfect fit for the USDM V6 Accord...

There's a great tint place on 183 in Cedar Park. I've had three cars done there and choosing 3M tint gives you a lifetime warranty nationwide. It's only a couple of miles from the Acura dealer towards Cedar Park......it's on the left.

I do too! The Dealer gave Karen the Take off's (with NEW tires!) so once we get ahold of some sort of Honda Body kit for the 06's to even out the height change a little bit, she gets her new wheels. :biggrin:

Well My Car is only going through touch free wahses, and it's going every 2 days. :nuts: One thing I'd like to say about your comment Wes is that my 2001 Accord looked Brand new at 5yrs old. So I think that with proper care and mait, the color will be fine.

Mike...come on...wash by hand is the only way to go (with 2 bucket method, sheepskin/wool mitt, and MF WW drying towels)....no one's baby deserves less...lol.

IMO though car washes = evil...even the touchless ones (ESP for black).

Cars do not "look new" after 5 years - even with dent repair, touchup paint, the best care...you still have swirl marks and noticeable flaws. There's just no two ways around it...you will always scratch the paint. My dad ran a detailing business and the 2000 ML320 has swirlmarks all over. And I don't see how "touchless" car washes work but I'm just going to say that in general, Honda black color just looks flat. I've seen brand new Ody Touring's in black and they're just not alive like they should be :dunno:

Oh yeah-- i dont really like automatic car washes, the one at work is decent, over at honda anyway, its pretty high powered jets, but no matter what, if you actually arent wiping your car, there is still a scum on it, and when you wipe black with anything, its going to leave a barely there scratch over time, i mean, take a 5 yr old black accord, and a 5 year old silver accord, and look side by side.. :( I want silver or gray again!
