I have a 94 EX auto 4door that has a broken speedodomoter(103K) which I'd like to fix/replace. Has anybody ever done this and where can you buy a replacement(not dealer because of cost).
Thanks,

a "junk yard" may have one. Is it the cable (most common) or the part in the dash??

I'm pretty sure it's in the dash because the speed odometer still works.
Sorry about the long delay in replying back to you. Had some 'Honey do' things to take care of....lol

I'm having trouble accessing the honda site today so I can't send instructions.
I'm sure someone here has a DIY link. They've been posted before. I just can't remember which thread!
If you look at the how-to & it looks doable, then by all means go for it. You MAY need remove the steering wheel to get to the dash easier. I'm sorry, but that's the one gen. manual I don't have at home. If you haven't heard by then, I'll ask my prince when he gets home. He may also know what's up with the honda site!
A used one can have the odometer changed to match your old one at a dealer for most years. The used one would probably be sold as the whole unit of gauges.
Sorry I can't be more help today!! I'm so lost without the honda network site!!!!:bawling:

What site are you refering to that has this info? If you send me the link I can try to look up the info later.
I noticed your Honda 03 is almost like my 04. Do you have XM Radio?

The site I'm referring to is an employee only site, so I can't send a link.
There's been DIY sites posted, I just can't remember where! When one of "the guys" sees this they'll likely be helpful & post a link. I'm really bad about bookmarking! Especially the DIY (car stuff) sites because it's not needed for me. I should though, so I can pass them on.....I'm bad! If you have the time....look around in here you may find one!
No, I don't have XM. I don't use the radio at all.....well, if on the road during a '9er game.... It's CD's only for me!! We did replace 4 of the speakers because we weren't happy with the OEM. (We did have MP3 in the Pilot for about a year, but we weren't happy with the sound.)
I think the only difference between the '03 & '04 is the option of XM. Is yours an EXL-V6 with Nav also?:)

Yep......V6 & Nav. I hope my wife dosen't figure out I have a CRUSH on my 04....lol
It's realy amazing how much the 94 has changed compared to the 04. We also owned a 76 Civic way back when Honda was just starting to make headways in the US market.

We also had several Hondas over the years. We traded an '02 EXLV6 for this '03. I'm still amazed by the difference! I LOVE my car!!! Your wife will understand!
I imagine drivng between your '94 & the '04 is a strange sensation! What color did you buy? The only generation we didn't own was 90-93 in an Accord. There's two '90's in the family, a Civic & an Integra.
Several of these guys are great about linking sites for us, so when they read this they'll probably have just the right one. I think one was under the thread about A/C filters.....
Welcome to the site by the way!:D

Asked my prince, he said the center console has to be removed, the radio (there's screws in there) & the behind the steering wheel dash area. (Not the steering wheel) Lots of clips!
He HATES doing that model! I can't find the directions, so I'm still hoping that someone will post a link to one of the DIY places.....

The 04 is the same color as yours: blue.
The 94 is red and the 76 was orange.
Thank Prince for the heads-up as to what I'm up for if I do decide to change the speed-o.

I had to replace mine as well as the speedo sensor on the tranny. The cluster can be take out without removing the steering wheel. 2 screws above the tach and speedo, getting this out is the hardest part. then take out at least 4 screws to loosen the cluster, then disconnect the harnesses.
