I recently decided that I was going to swap the transmission fluid in my 6mMT to GM's friction modified blend. I bought this exact fluid off www.paceperformance.com and received the package today. I was surprised to see an off brand in the box. I got ACDelco part # 88900399.
I went on to their site to make sure I actually ordered the right thing and there was a note that stated "this transmission fluid(the gm type) was replaced with the stuff they sent me(ACDelco)."
Is it the exact same stuff in a different package, or is it different?
I don't want to do the swap until I know that it's the EXACT same.
What do you guys think?

Does their site say you agree to a swap if they decide to do it? I would reverse the charges, that's messed up.

Don't worry, I believe it's the same stuff. They have been changing their name / part numbers. Do a little google searching. Supposedly the original part number for the GM synchromesh is outdated, so when cross referenced with that number, it brings up 88900399. They simply changed to AC Delco is all.

Yes it is the same stuff. I just did mine with the new part number last night. Good to go.

Yes it is the same. It's what I used, so far so good. No missed shifts, and I am no longer ultra careful in releasing the clutch after upshifting into third. Best tip I've seen on the forum!
