I just got a new (but used) 2005 accord coupe EX V6 6spd and love it. The sound system sounds great. Does anyone know if the 6-disc changer can play mp3 cd's? Also, with having the EX and top of the line accord, is the sound system I have better than say on the DX or LX? Bose? The thing cranks!! Didn't do a lot of research on the sound system because was more focused on the performance and such. Thanks...

EJewels, you should find all the answers you need in the audio section of the forum. So you know, no the 6 disk changer does NOT have mp3-cd capabilities. Honda has that as an overpriced aftermarket accessory. You can install an adapter to hook an an mp3 player, should you choose to do so. Again, this is talked about relentlessly in the audio forum of DriveAccord. The VP model (I think the DX is caput now) does not have rear speakers so yes, your system is better. Not sure if yours has more speakers than an LX, Honda's website would tell you that.

Enjoy your perty new ride! And when you get a chance post some pictures!!

AFAIK, EX and LX have the same audio system.

6-speeds get a "premium" audio system, but the EX and LX are supposed to have the same power output. They don't hold the same amount of discs though IIRC

The MP3 player was/is sold by Honda as an add-on.

You're much better off getting an aftermarket DVD player and routing that through an AUX input or using an iPod adapter with your iPod.
