Is anyone aware of a way to add automatic headlights to the 2004 Honda accord sedan? (auto on/off) I am a former acura-tl owner and I really miss the automatic headlights. I have added the Day/Night mirror and the foglights. I now feel I am getting close to the acura.... Any info is appreciated.

The non DX models turn off by themselves 15 seconds after removing the key. If the key is left in they turn off in 10 minutes. They'll turn back on when you unlock or open the driver's door. If you unlock, but don't open the door, they'll turn back off in 15 seconds.
It's on page 69 in my owner's manual.

He meant the auto on/off as in turning on and off as determined needed by a sensor I think? Like when to turn them on towards twillight.

Yes. I was referring to the sensor who turns the lights off and on as needed by a sensor on the top of the dash.

Sorry, I miss understood. I'd think with enough electrical knowledge one from an Acura could be added.
You'd need the electrical manuals for both to see where to splice it in. I'm sure someone, somewhere has done it!

If you go to any reputable mobile electronics installation dealer (i.e. Best Buy) they should sell a device which has a photo sensor that senses when it gets dark and will turn on the headlights. And vice versa. Will also turn them on when you put on the winshield wipers. I installed one on my Prelude and I love it. The only drawback is that there is no delay when you shut the car off..... the lights go off right away. Which isn't a bad thing - save battery life.
