Here's where we'd like some suggestions from you people to add some new blood to the moderators.....

We'll keep this thread open for a while, then take the top few & let you all vote in a poll for the lead contenders....

We've been growing again & we're doing our best to avoid the conflict the last round of changes made.

If the exsisting mods see why a nominee isn't the right material, we'll let you know as honestly, but kindly as possible.

Things to keep in mind....

The first priority is they should be an asset to the forum.

the MAIN job is to keep converstions going....that doesn't mean always saying what's agreeable.

So throw in a name & a reason for adding it.....

You can vote for yourself - whether someone nominated you or you nominate yourself, list any pertinent info you might have if you're interested (mod on other forums, etc). Of course, having been a former mod or having owned 20 forums are NOT necessary but here's your chance to pat yourself on the back :banana:

You should be quite familiar with the forum itself - know how to use the search, recall certain threads from the past, etc, all in the interest of helping people. There will be certain aspects that you will learn as you go along, ie. control panels that are not available to the general members, but those are no biggie.

age isn't an issue either!! Some of you "kids" are well versed in the area of cars & have decent people skills! As well as some of the ones that have been around the block a few times have knowledge the rest are still striving for!! :D

you can list more than one name..... in fact, if we see lots of different people have listed the same person, it will be a plus.

We've done this different everytime.... the first were hand picked by Wards, the second were picked by the exsisting mods & now we're going to try to let the masses decide.

My reasons? JoeRockt has alot of good information about mods on cars. He has hands on experience and has given great advise to those who ask. I never see false information out of him.

Conundrum: He owns a 6mt and that's just cool. Also, he gives great advise to those who want to get lots of miles (His Sunfire) out of the cars. If he can do it w/ a GM car, he must be the man.

Andysinnh: He is all around a great contributer. He's the voice of common sense whe we sometimes go overboard (frequent expensive sythetic oil changes). He is always the one to bring everyone back to earth and teach others to look at things in reality. This I feel is very important to converstation. He also has a "few" years of experience that us young guys can definatly learn from.

If we add too many then it would look like we're overpowering the community, but we'd like to add people to make sure there's always at least ONE on here to delete spam, keep discussion from going overboard (not my bestest subject), help dig up threads for repeat questions (ie. iPod adapter install, anyone done it?), etc etc.

I think we have a good pool of mods now but don't know if the current mods feel overtaxed. I would add only 1 or 2 if any. I think this is one of the better formns i've been on. Any of the above people would be great.

Wow...All I can say is thanks for the nominations everyone, and I'd love the chance to help mod this forum. I know I haven't been around as much over the last few weeks because of work (probably be that way for September), but I'd love to be able to help out.

As for others I'd recommend I'll have to sit and think to work out a complete list...but off the top of my head (and obviously what others have said here) I'd recommend the following people as well:

We will call this the "Who has a life index". I'm a numbers guy, so just wanted to help. It looks a little rough as it didnt translate the best from excel.
