Hey it looks like it's going to have the Nav that you talk to! It's got a better search & easier to use than the Pilot one.
The toggle area is sure big. That's probably the look that the next Pilots will have, so I guess I'll have to get used to it. I think he'll be wanting a new one in about 4 years. I wonder if they'll put the shifter on the front middle on them too. I have a booger of a time remembering where to shift in the Pilot now! I find myself reaching for the middle to shift & put on the EB, then reaching for the column & stepping on the floor when I switch back to the Accord.....I'm so confused!!:D
Looking forward to BB's comments.......

I've been on the Ody boards lately and have seen all those. The Japanese Odyssey is actually the old version with 4 doors, they seem to be keeping true to that path. They upgraded it though, with V6's and 4WD. It looks nice, but not my style. There was one in SF on Battery street...reason unknown. Japan traditionally gets more gadgets in their cars so it's no surprise that this Odyssey has available 4WD, CVT, and from pictures it looks like even radar cruise control, DVD Navi, Keyless Go, Xenons, and even a 200HP K24 sport version. As for the bigger Odyssey, they call it the Lagreat.
The first two links are actually pictures of a concept that Honda recently released. I believe that the statement was made by VTEC.net that "this is not the next Honda Odyssey" or something like that. It does look nice though. You can see it's pretty much evolutionary. The interior was previously RHD, fixed with photoshop I assume. If you find pics of the rear seat its got a console right through the middle. How they're going to pull that off with the magic seat is a mystery to me, so I'm saying it's probably not going to happen :)
There is already a waiting list for the new Ody at certain dealers! I am certainly not looking forward to that lol. Though Honda has not officially released any specs or pictures, the speculation is that it will be (as the pics suggest) mostly evolutionary. Also said that it will have the Variable Cylinder Management system.
What I'm really looking forward to are new features. The current Odyssey is mostly devoid of options like factory wood trim, roll down side windows, fold down second row, airbag suspension (nobody yet), AWD, etc. I want to see if they can get the AWD mainly :) Also things like side and side curtain airbags, stability control, etc. As for the engine I don't think it's going anywhere. At best they'll move it up a few HP IMO, because the minivan market right now is so close. Across the board, the Sienna, Odyssey and Quest are rated at 242lb-ft albeit at different RPM's, with the Sienna having a slight HP and displacement disadvantage. The surprise is that the Odyssey, despite having a large engine, has a relatively high peak torque RPM. Perhaps that's an issue that Honda may want to address. Maybe not though, since I've heard a lot of Odyssey owners saying that the Sienna is much more lethargic around town even with a lower RPM for peak torque :)
Here's some pics I have of the Honda ASM. They came from Honda's media gallery and are unmolested by photoshop.

Another rumor about how the new Ody will look:

Here's a link to the JDM Odyssey in SF. You can see the LID instrument panel ala Accord, which is also rumored to make it onto the '05 USDM Odyssey.
