I've had a Directivo for several years now. Its always fun to reverse things during live events when someone says something that makes you double take. But I've recenly noticed that now when I hear someone talking to someone else in real life and I do a double take of what they just said, I'm mentally trying to rewind the scene to hear it again!

Weird...Its hard to explain it really. But it makes me laugh so I guess it cant be that bad. Even if it was bad, I would never give up my Tivo.

That's too funny. I'll admit to trying to 'rewind' the radio in my car as I'm driving, but the affliction hasn't spread live conversation yet! DirectTV/Tivo rocks but I'm worried about the apparent move away from Tivo to a more generic 'DVR' with the newer boxes.

I've been a TiVo user since 2002.

I can't watch TV the same anymore, but I don't apply it to real life.

Last I heard Murdoch is selling DirecTV so hopefully those crappy NDS DVRs will go away too.

But I doubt TiVo is going back to a strong relationship with D* that they had.

While I don't TIVO...

I often feel the urge to press the "Fast Forward" button during many conversations in real life!

 :screwy: :hic:

You said it...
I never understood how Tivo worked, lol. How do you fast forward be to real time and how do you know its real time after you just rewound it?

There is a meter at the bottom when you go in foward or reverse.

 I like the Closed Captioning display, especially during movies. It never fails the music goes so loud that while you are turning it up or down you inevitably miss something or if the person has a severe accent, it makes you you go oh! that's what that wanker said!
