2000 Accord Automatic Tranny Issues?

Now I know that there are quite a few issues with the Accord v6 TRanny in the sixth gen, but I noticed in my mom's car that the shift points are hitting rather high. Could this be a sign of the tranny starting to wear a bit. THe car only has 67k on the clock. It the ULEV I4. Any comments welcome, considering I have the car at school, so my 98 manual can stay home and hopefully sell...

Thought you said in your ad that you were a mechanic, a slipping tranny should be fairly evident?

Its not slipping, that would be obvious...

What i am asking if this is one of the trannys prone to slipping. I expected the shift points on an automatic ULEV to be lower, but it will kick right up to redline. Most automatics I've driven that feel like a ULEV Accord Sedan, never like to get that high unless the shifter is kicked into low and the gas pedal floored :D

Even then its still rare. I never did much research on the ULEV set-up and am not sure if it even uses the same tranny. Just wondering if someone else knew a bit more about this motor than I did.

It should go right up to redline if you floor it, it's not unusual. Only when you start getting the hard shifting, slippage, delays between shifter movements and actual engagements, etc then you'll know it's failing. Even before that, if you catch it leaking it's already mostly gone

I have the sticky pedal *and* crappy shifting / seems-like-there's-no-overdrive thing going on... fishes for gears and kinda sluggish too. Had the tran fluid changed recently (well, compared to the 100K it has on it), but that was at the used car dealer before I bought it; No telling what the heck kinda fluid they put in it. I bought Acura fluid, which is the same as Honda's, I do believe, but haven't really had time to get it into a shop.
What I mean about the "seems like no overdrive" thing is this: When I let off the pedal, it seems like the trans. is geared up to high and decelerates too quickly, according to my judgement. A sign of impending doom, I'm wondering?
