Does anyone know what the point of the little nub that is on the back of the inner brake pad is for? I bought some new pads and they didnt have the nub. I installed it anyways and I havent noticed anything wrong with it. I just want to know if its something that I should be worried about.
Thanks.

Do you have a picture of the little nub? I think you're talking about the brake wear indicator, but I don't know for sure. Anyway, if it's removable, you should transfer it to the new pads.

The nub is on the back of the of the pad. Its definitely not the indicator. Ill take a picture tonight and post it. I went ahead and changed the pads out and they seem to be working just fine.

You don't have to worry about the nub, the nub is on the OEM brake pads I believe it's a reference point for putting the rear brakes back on, so the nub matches the groove in the caliper. You don't have to worry about it
