5 locals killed driving into the water.

Some of you may have heard about the 5 people that were found last night in Solano Co. They'd all drown when they drove their car in to a slough. (drinking is the assumption) There were 4 teens & a 37 year old. 2 of the teens were my daughter's cousins in law. The 16 year old girl & 14 year old boy. The 18 year old was the boyfriend of the 16 year old cousin. Yes, they made a stuipd choice, but they paid for it dearly. Their family is heartbroken! Please keep these families in your thoughts.... they have a lot to get through!

The funeral is today in Napa. 4 of the 5 lived under the same roof, at our son in law's uncle's. The 14 year old that wasn't a cousin lost his parents in death 2 years ago & had been living with that family. The 37 year old had also been taken in, reason unknown. The 5th one, the boyfriend of the 16 year old cousin, was always at the house although he didn't live there.

Part of me feels like when you drink & drive you deserve whatever happens. Yet another part sees what a high price they paid! I am very thankful that they didn't hit another car & hurt or kill anyone else!!

I didn't know these kids, but I am now related to their aunt & it's been an awful loss. Time will heal, but it may be a rough haul.....
