Today she got changed to Castrol GTX 5-20 oil, her tranny fluid changed (honda), her throttle body cleaned, & brakes inspected. Her mileage is a pinch before 5K. It will be done at 5K from here on out. Most of her driving is stop & go, local stuff. We waited a little longer on this one to try to ensure go seating for the valves.

No leaks, no abnormal wear on brakes or tires. She checked out great! I remembered to log it in her manual!! I get extra points for that, right?:D

Now Sunday she MAY get all detailed...weather permitting!! Another coat of Zaino, tires & leather treatment, engine dusted.....she always gets her door jambs cleaned with every wash. Tires & leather are about every other wash. Engine as needed.

Just out of curiosity - any reason why you changed the transmission fluid so early? Did you do the same in your Pilot?

How often will you change it in the future?

Yes, we do the same thing on the Pilot. Nearly all of the tranny problems seem to be the result of the metal particles not getting fitered out. They just don't have a adaquate filter. We'd planned on adding an external one, but until then, they will be changed often. Cheap insurance is what the Prince says! It will be changed with each oil change. (5K)

Did Prince use the driveway or the dealer bay!!!

BTW, the Honda brand 5w20 seems to be a pretty good brew also. Maybe save a few cents being an insider also.:)

Good idea on the tranny fluid as I'm sure you're aware of Honda's recent transmission problems on the TL, Ody, and Accords. Did you just drain once (3qts)?

He used our garage. He nearly always does. We have a good floor jack & great jack stands. Right now the Pilot has Honda oil in it. It's probably great stuff, but it's dark & looks old when it's new. So it will probably gets Castrol next time.

The tranny gets just a change, not a flush. The drain plug gets cleaned up before replacing it. That's one of the good things about doing it often, you don't have that decision on whether or not to flush!;)

I1...still trying to finish my Gold Class stuff. I won't have to order until next spring. After claying, it takes very little polish and I can't seem to make the level in the bottle diminish.

From what I've read, Porter Cable is the only way to go. After using your buffer and new products, let us know what you think.
