I was behind a 06-07 hybrid today and the rear looked different. I know the lights are different. The lip spoiler and 3rd brake light looked different does any one know if there is something different besides the tail lights.

And has anyone seen the hybrid tail lights for sale I think they look a little nicer.

There's the turn lights on the side mirrors.

An antenna sticking out the back.

I think that's pretty much it for exterior differences.

There isn't that much difference in the interior either, just the speedometer area(there's a econ & asst. bar on the bottom).

exterior differences are:
-unique tail lights
-unique decklid spoiler
-side view mirrors with turn signals
-AM/FM antenna sticking out the top
-unique 16" alloys

interior differences:
-no fold down rear seatback
-no rear seatback passthrough
-Navi DVD drive (if equipped) located in dash
-different gauge cluster
-Active Noise Canceling

powertrain differences:
-IMA motor and related hybrid equipment (duh)
-VCM (Varaible Cylinder Management) aka i-VTEC
-Active engine mounts

i think that's it...

Manual passenger seat too...

Why does the hybrid have the AM/FM antenna sticking out instead of it being in the glass?

Also, are the tails and side mirrors a direct swap to the non-hybrid?

my guess is to minimize any interference the battery packs may cause to radio reception (the non-hybrids have the antenna on the rear glass). or they just want it to be different. i think the HCH has a rubber antenna sticking out too. :blah:

tails and mirrors should be direct swaps, but i dont know for sure. you will need to wire up the mirrors to the turn signal yourself though.

Forgot to add, the sun visors aren't extendable. :(
