Ok guys, see if you can help me solve this one! I really need some help.

I have a 1990 Honda accord Lx 5 spd. Today i started hearing a squeling like i had a loose belt. So when i went to fix it, i noticed it was actually from the distributer(sounds like).

Heres a video of the sounds.

I removed the cap, noticed the rotor had been rubbing, http://img245.imageshack.us/img245/7652/dsc01737oi1.jpg

I replaced the cap and rotor, and left out the leak guard. Its still making the noise. I added some lube to the carbon seat.

I have tried turning the engine with the cap off to see if i can see anything rubbing, all seems fine. Since i replaced the cap/rotor i dont see any marks from rubbing on either part.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks
Jeff

Don't keep using it like that. Usually all the rust in there is from the bearing inside the distributor grinding itself to pieces. If it siezes, bye bye timing belt.

It's new distributor time.
