Has any used an after market rear wing spoiler on their 2003 or 2004 accord sedan. I want to add but the price is pretty steep. $350

Check for OEM ones on ebay. Many have found good prices for their accessories there!

Hi Stooge,

I recently installed an aftermarket rear spoiler (did it myself) on my 2003 Honda Accord for $215 painted.

Go to Spoilerdepot.com and you can pick one up for your 2003 for $135 unpainted. Spoilerdepot will charge you an addittional $90 to match the color to your vehicle.

The spoiler arrives UPS in a long 6 ft box. The spoiler has a rear stop light strip on it and comes with very simple wiring and easy to install directions. The spoiler even comes with pre-drilled holes. These holes line up perfectly with small indentations on the underside of your wingless trunk.

Installation was a snap and it came out professinal looking. If you can change your own oil, you'll be able to tackle this easily.

Did that come with heavier gauge trunk springs or did you add a strut?

my wife and I were actually talkin about getting one for ours. They look so much better with a spoiler.

I say if it's a new car and you're planning on keeping it a while, don't go cheap. $350 is a bit steep but I suspect it will have a little more appeal at resale. If you don't sell it, the factory painted spoiler will probably be leaps and bounds better in the long term than any of the cheap imitations. Just my two cents. Now if you're talking about a 1995 Accord with 200K miles...that's a different story :) Sorry I didn't really answer the question...just my two cents.

That spoiler depot does look interesting though. Lifetime warranty on manufacturing and painting...sounds good. Any comment on the quality of the paint or fit (orange peel, fit, etc)? Also do they come with the spoiler springs?

I just installed mine from the spoilerdepot. There's no template to follow---good instructions though, which made it easy.

Mine was $240, painted and shipped with a lifetime warranty. The paint matched perfectly and looks great on the car. I saw the exact same Honda wing at the dealer and it didn't look one bit different---and I am ANAL.

It didn't come with the springs, but I don't think mine needs it. The trunk still comes up when it's released and doesn't close THAT fast. You can tell there's weight there, but it's not bad.

Good luck!
