If you add a third security system remote transmitter to a '98 Accord, opening the trunk with it is a little different than with the other two transmitters. On the third transmitter, you must press and hold its trunk button until the trunk latch solenoid clicks (about 2 seconds), then press the button again to release the trunk latch. With the other two transmitters, you only need to press the trunk button once and hold it for two seconds.
