I have a 2000 Honda Accord EX v6, and I live in MA. The temperature is flucuating a good amount recently. I find that all my windows are fogging up from the inside. If i slam the ac onto it for a moment, it will counter act the fog in only a few seconds, but it will be winter soon and I would rather have the heat on.

Is there a product that I can put on the inside and or the outside of my windshield to help prevent this fogging?

You could try Rain-X anti-fog.. never tried it myself since I didn't see the need for it. It's ok to run the heat with the A/C to clear the fog in the winter time. Most of the time all you need is heat. On humid days, you could run heat and A/C at the same time.

You can turn on the AC and turn up the heat at the same time. It's the only way to do it...AC by design takes moisture out of the air, and that's all what the fog on the windows is. Make sure your recycle mode is off too. At worst, open the windows/sunroof a bit if you REALLY want to avoid AC.

Not sure if its the same for 6th gens, but in my manual it explains all about running the ac for defrosting windows either with the temp turned to hot or cold. Of course when I hit the window defog button it automatically kicks on my ac regardless of the temp level I have set, theres probably a reason honda did it that way.

I read somewhere that if you wash the windows with dish soap like Dawn, it will keep fog from forming on the inside of the windows.

If you leave a bit of soap on the windows, fog will not form. The drawback is the soap isn't exactly smooth so your view of the road will get distorted/ give you a headache. :headbash:
