Start detailing?... When do you ever stop? I usually detail every 3 months b/c it doesn't really get below 40°F for too long at a time here in Alabama.
Spring starts when I can't even get the car dried & pollen is already on the car! :bawling:

True... I've seen a lot complaints about the Pollen:censored:
Evidently thats worse in the South than here in the Midwest....
We still have blooms on Bradford Pear and Crab Apple and Maple buds but they are managable.... It's been raining all day and Hi-temp around 50 with temp at 39 right now 11PM
We are going to get another shot tomorrow so hopefully I can QEW vehicles after it dries up...
Detailed van yesterday... Wash> Clay> Menzerna Intense Polish > Menzerna Final Polish> Klasse All in One> Klasse Sealant Glaze... just one coat of SG though:( ...
It was to dark to take pic's When I Finished.. But I still want to add 2nd coat of SG.. still beads like crazy....
I used the new Porter Cable....saves on arm work.... definitely worth the investment....
This was Mom's weekend .... She also got Her new Turanza LS-T's on Saturday....
Thank you Tire Rack saved over 300.00

That's what Heated Garages are for..... Year round car care.....
Have to get that salt off...... Since they decided they would start using a Brine Spray on the roads this winter.

We also occasionally heat the garage. We use a propane heater. Works great!!:D

Princess........
For us here in Southern Maine(Portland) it's when we put the snow shovels away. Mine are still in the garage! For the people in Northern Maine(Caribou) it's Memorial Day!

Sheesh, Memorial Day?? We've already got a tan going by then! We usually have about 50/50 sun & clouds through April, then more like 75% sun in May. Then for some reason when we've all made our picnic plans for the holiday weekend it threatens to rain & the wind always blows the paper plates across the park!
It's not unusual to have a sunburn, then have to wear a jacket the next day. I hate that! By June it's up to 85% sun. The August is nearly 100% & 110 degrees. Our weather in this little valley is actually pretty mild....but that doesn't keep me from longing for Summer when my toes are chippy!

Lucky, Lucky, Lucky.........!
I'm originally from the South so living in Maine(73- present) has been and continues to be VERY TRYING on me but I do it for the wife.
I just have to keep telling myself that "pain builds character".....:bawling:

I don't like the suggestions!! None of them fit me hehe.
when the car can get weekly baths
- always gets weekly baths, even in winter.
when the the snow melts
- no snow, see above :)
when the air smells like all the stuff in bloom
- in bloom? in the city? it always smells like not so pleasant haha
when you start sneezing from allergies
- no allergies :)
when the tornado warnings start
- what is this tornado you speak of?
when you need to take the mower out again
- no grass to mow!
What can I say? I guess for me it begins when I lose an hour of sleep and grumble incessantly throughout the day haha.

Actually yeah there's a lot of trees around here. Mostly pine though, it gets annoying because they drop all over the floor and the residents are left to clean up. We actually had a big 2 1/2 story pine in our backyard but got tired of sweeping up all the needles so we chopped it down. Now that I look back on it, pretty stupid, but at least we got a view of all of SF and the ocean now :)
