Just curious, is there a way to make the doors lock when the car is put in drive or reaches a certain speed, then unlock when the car is put in park?
This is a 2002 Accord Coupe (V6)

i would like more info on this too. i thought it would come standard on the accords. I remember the dealership salesman said it came in the civics. all you had to do was some ignition sequences.

There are aftermarket units I believe that come on alarms (DEI pops into my head) that would have auto locking...check those out.

Since the Ridgeline does it, I wonder if those parts can be added to an Accord.... :dunno:

A cheap alarm system with the auto lock/unlocking feature will work just fine. Wiring is fairly simple. Usually hot, ground, ignition, 1 lock and 1 unlock wire and 1 door wire. Then, the valet switch in order to change the settings on the alarm. If you feel uncomfortable doing this, a shop should be able to do it for between $125 and $150. For the speed sensitive locking, I would forget it. Unless it comes with the car, it will be expensive to duplicate. Just rely on the ignition controlled door locks and you will be fine. My wife is used to auto lock/unlock so I just added an older alarm module I had to the car and she was happy.

I did a little research.... although the locks look the same & the actuator may even be compatible.... it works through the control unit (brains of the car) so they wouldn't work without changing the computer!
better off with after-market....
