We won't discuss how many years have passed......but I can say those older than dirt funnies would be appropriate!!!!

Today, as far as I know.....we're keeping it simple. Just dinner out. I've been getting grumbled at because I plan to mow the front yard today. I like yardwork! I wouldn't let my Prince take the day off. He growled. Later, after a bubble bath & pedicure I plan to go shopping.

Friday we may go see "Man on Fire".

On Sat. we're having some people over for a pool party/ BBQ.

I can't get over how strange it is to be home! We've been going to Disneyland for this occation for quite a while. We're usually there in March for the Anniversary then now for my birthday. We scheduled our trip different this time. Tower of Terror opens in May, so we'll be down there in 2 weeks!! I can't Wait!! We be taking Tink. It should be hot there......

OK, the yard is done. It wasn't as fun as usual because it's WINDY! Cleaning up leaves in the wind is a losing battle! I did clean out the carport where Belle sleeps & mowed the lawn, trimmed bushes...... If the wind dies down it's going to HOT, but right now it's not. So that didn't go as planned.

After my daily lunchtime call from my Prince, I'll change & hit the stores!

He sent me a beautiful flower arrangement! So tall I had a hard time seeing over it to carry it to the table!!:D Now it smells like springtime inside too!:)

Well, now I'm waiting for my Prince to come home..... I'm bubbled & dewrinked & smellin' purdy.......pink toe nails & all!

I forgot to eat lunch, so I'm starving!

Last year we tried to get in, on a weeknight, to Claim Jumpers. They had a 3 hour wait. So tonight we'll probably just hit Applebees or something simple. My "special" dinner will be on Sat. HE's cookin'!!

You've never had fudge until you have what Prince can make!! When the kids were little they wanted me to do the REAL food, but begged me not to make cookies! "Please let daddy do it". :(

My neighbor buddy & I stopped exchanging gifts a few years back. We have this gaudy silver heart box that we have engraved & pass back & forth. She says I'm too hard to buy for because I'm so spoiled! I have no idea why she say that......:rolleyes:

I've had several calls to wish me a happy day. I love that!!:D (emails & cards too)

I had a great day! It's pretty common for us to celebrate birthdays for about a week. Yesterday's miracle was that our son called! Yahoo!:D

An update.... we didn't make it to the movies.....just got side tracked....

Sat. went WONDERFUL!! Our nephew & family made it up from Atascadero. My oldest buddy & hubby were here too! We don't get the chance to see each other much. Lately all of our visits have been at the '9er games. Our mothers are best friends, so we used to tell everyone that we've known each other since before we were born....

The tri-tips were cooked to perfection. The cake was a dream. Our youngest daughter gave me a beautiful pin that is a rhine stone tiarra (perfect) with hearts hanging from it... 6 with the birthstones of each grandkid. It's a treasure!!:D

The weather was great!! About 90, so we could swim or stay inside. I'd already made a play list on the computer & the music was playing on the Bose & big speakers. We all managed to sit around the table for dinner. I like it when we can do that. Buffets are OK, but I just like the family feel of a sit down dinner.

I had terrific day!! Now I get to look forward to our next Disneyland trip in less than 2 weeks!!!:banana: :banana:


After everyone left, we were chatting about how great it all went & my prince came up with a plan that sounds like a good deal. Our table is BIG. When we use it at it's biggest with 10+ chairs we can't get through on one side very well. So our next project for the house will be shrinking the half wall between the kitchen & family room. There's a built in desk there & we will lose one drawer. We still have leftover tile. This should be really easy!;)
