Is it possible to get keys without the alarm fob for the Accord?

I am interested in putting a paging alarm in the Accord but carrying two remotes will look so ghetto.

Any ideas?

Valet key? Just don't lock your glovebox or trunk/fuel release lever.

Outside of that...You could probably get Honda to cut a valet blank with the "full" key pattern, that way it would open everything for you (I mean, a laser key blank is just a laser key blank).

Do you need both sets of keys (not counting the valet)? You could remove the key itself from the remote fob and mock up your own fob. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to accomplish, what do you want the fob part of the key to look like? Is this something you can integrate with the key itself?

Go ask someone to cut/copy you a valet key out of your main key.

Use a key that comes with a DX Accord before 2006. Or use any key from 2003-2004 Pilots, 2004-2005 Civics, 2002-2006 CR-V's etc. They all work I'm almost positive. I know my aunts CR-V Key which has no fob attached will fit in the ignition of my uncles' Pilot.

Good luck!

I think I'll try the DX idea. Thanks everyone.

What year/model CRV? Mom's 06 SE has the same ignition key as my Accord...

2002 CR-V EX (Still uses same key blank) and the key fit an 03 Pilot EX-L.

I know I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree....but wouldn't this cut key have to have the chip in it, and the Accord programed to accept it, for it to be used in the ignition? Or does EXLNavi just want it to manually unlock the doors? Or, does his Accord not need the chip? I thought he had the 7th gen.

When we owned a 02 CRV, the remote was separate from the key which I didn't like. I bought an Accord key with remote, had it cut for the CRV, and transferred the chip from the valet key to it. Programed the remote and it worked great.

I'm pretty positive that all the new 'Wave' keys are interchangeable, they just have to be programmed at the Honda Dealer. A Key with the fob is nothing more than a key blank with a remote attached to it.

to eliminate headaches, just get the Accord DX key or a grey headed valet key cut with the master key pattern. they are still Accord keys so you dont have to worry about immobilizer compatibility since they will have the same immobilizer system.

or if you dont use your valet key, just have a dealer or locksmith cut it to match the master key. the only difference is a notch on each side that is cut deeper on the master key. this way you dont have to worry about paying to get it programmed. :)
