Right now the boys are watching a full length "Hot Wheels" movie!!
Nicholas started pointing out the different makes of cars on the road when he was 2. He plans to own a Civic all modified someday. He also says he plans to be a Honda Tech, just like grandpa. (we'll see.... I'd rather him do something with a better income) I did make him promise that he'd do ALL his college first, instead of during like grandpa! He also already has his bride picked out! She's a year younger & keeps up with his brainy side very well! Her name is Tyler. He even gave her a real tiny diamond ring! (his dad found it digging at work)
When asked the difference between a technician & a mechanic his reply is "a mechanic fixes what he THINKS is wrong with the car & a Technician fixes what he KNOWS is wrong with a car. (I didn't teach him that):)
His mom was single for his first 3 years & I was his primary caretaker. By 2 he knew all his alphabet, numbers, addition, subtraction, some multiplication, shapes, & colors. By 2 & a half he knew all the presidents, most of the states, solar system, money & time. He was so much fun to teach....he was a little sponge!! He was reading by 3. He's 5 now & in kindergarten & at a 3rd grade reading level! He's always been such a joy! He has always been a great conversationalist. He's forgotten much of the stuff he knew so young. His mom didn't keep up with it.
His brother...Hunter.... is ADHD & never is still! He's very bright, but difficult to teach unless it's on the move. He has no fear though. He rode his bicycle early, he loves taking chances. He's fun in the physical stuff! He is also a reader already.
Not that I'm a proud grandma or anything.......
I'll be having them here daily, after school for about 6 weeks. So if I'm slow at responses between noon & 3 our time, that's why!
