New to Forum - 2007 EX-L

Hey Everyone,

I am the new guy here. I recently got the nicest company car ever, a Tafetta White 2007 EX-L Accord Sedan w/ Nav. :naughty: I love this car! I made the switch over from Acurazine after I just sold my 1999 TL. Love that I get to keep it in the Honda family!

Anyway, I won't be able to do much modding since it is a corporate lease, but I might be able to get away with the lip spolier and throw on a SRI (Cold Air is out of the question since there is frequent flooding at my home since I am 20 yards from the river)

After a quick 5000 miles in 2 months, the car is breaking in nicely. I will post some pics as soon as I get a coat of wax on it before the snow starts. Look forward to meeting some of you 7th gen guys!

Welcome, Carson! So which one of our mighty rivers are you close to? ;) I am in the Philly 'burbs myself (Norristown) and fairly close to the Schuylkill, but not close enough to be worried. I am originally from Harrisburg and I lived downtown and right next to the Susquehanna, so whenever that baby got high I sweat bullets let me tell ya! :yes:

I have the same car, 'cept a 5-speed. Love the NAVI. :yes:

A super easy mod that's cheap ($45) and very effective is upgrading the rear stabilizer bar to a 17mm or 20mm piece from a TL. There's a thread with a lengthy discussion about which would suit you better. You don't even have to raise the car, takes about 30 mins and it only takes an opposable thumb and a wrench. :D Significantly improves the Accord's handling.

The front strut tower brace is another easy mod but prices range from $50 for the Accord V6 6-speed brace to $100 + for various aftermarket. Again, another bolt-on item that doesn't require butchering the car in anyway & would be easy enough to remove.
