I'm an owner of a 2003 Honda Accord EX-V6 non-navi. I'm just wondering, have any of you experienced static in your stock speakers? Just wondering...thanks!

Welcome to the board!!
What accessories do you have?? Anything added that's aftermarket? Even a cell phone device??
No.
:)
For a more detailed response, we need more info.
When do you hear it, what are you listening to, etc...
I thought ours was messed up awhile back. It was sounding really bad. Turns out it was just a country station. :p

Princess, I haven't added ANY aftermarket accessories to my car....not even a cell-phone holder....and the most angering part about this situation is that the Honda dealer is unwilling to replace the six speakers or possibly the antenna!
I'm listening to soft rock (Shania Twain, Dido, Celine Dion)....nothing seriously loud....max volume is "14" on the dial!

If the static(hissing sound?) is in all speakers then It would lead me to believe that you have a radio problem(if it occurs on all stations)or reception problem.... Go see your salesman and explain the problem you are having... He should be more than happy to let you look at another car to determine if it is a specific problem with your car... Replicate problem for him then you have another set of ears when He takes you to see SERVICE MGR....
I have found that if you work with them on the problem they should be happy to solve?
It could be as simple as antenna connection not being correct...
Good Luck

I am having the same problem in my 2001 Accord. It only happens when I am listening to the radio, and it happens on any station. When I put a cd in it sounds fine...any suggestions?

Check antenna connection 1st if its ok then you either have a problem internal w/radio or possible antenna cable damage between radio and antenna..

I too drive a 2003 honda and continuously have static in the speakers. I have taken the car in to be looked at and it is intermittent unfortunatley but happening on several stations. They can't seem to 'hear' the problem. I have been told it's where I drive, which I don't buy as an excuse since sometimes I don't have static in those same driving areas. I honestly don't know what to do about the problem. Any guidance?

Welcome mewho411 !!!
This is getting very interesting.... If it is an intermittent problem as it appears with everyone posting. It would be easier to diagnose with more info!!
You state you have continuous static then say its intermittent??
I understand that it is frustrating and you would all like to have a
solution..BUT.... Dealers only make so much diagnostic time(warranty) to solve a problem that is continuous or intermittent.
Maybe if you could recreate for the tech or service writer then they could find the problem.
Some ?'s for you...
1. Is it on AM or FM?
2. Does it occur during the day or night?
3. Do you drive a 2nd vehicle? Does it occur with it?
4. Have you tried turning off A/C or blower when it occurs?
5. Do you live in a area with a lot of air traffic(Commercial or Private)?
6. Do you have a radar detector??
7. Do you have a cell phone in car when occuring....Does it switch from digital to analog a lot in your area....
8. try taking a portable radio with you in car and see if it does the same thing.
I will stop there and let you do a little research on your own.....
Radio Frequency signals are an unusual animal to tame with so many variables.. I know it's like a needle in a haystack searching out problems like these(personal experience)but you have to remember that automotive tech's are no different than doctors or any other field that have to diagnose a problem with so many variables....
Here's something I forgot.. Atmospheric conditions...... major effect on RF sigs.... And if you live in the central parts of the US that has been a variable this Spring/Summer....
Hope this helps
