Welcome to the board! Those are pretty cool but...
...The JDM Inspire uses HID units, rather buy those. You're never sure of what you get from a "one of a kind" deal and it's also from eBay - who knows if you're getting ripped off. To tell you the truth I don't think HID is all that hot. I adjusted the headlights on my Accord, they're in spec and not glaring at oncoming traffic, but they provide almost as much light as the C240 loaner that the Mercedes dealer gave us when we brought the ML320 in. Also the projectors don't height adjust.

How about these

Because the 7th gen is still so new, everything is still pretty expensive. I think those can come down slightly given time. I've seen some people take those projector style lights and plug in a HID kit, but I don't know if it's worth it. Some of those aftermarket housings put out even worse light and yet have more glare than stock. I'm not sure about this but on my 6th gen, I know I can pry my headlights apart to get a blackhousing look or to clear the amber strip. Is that possible with the 7th gen?

I have read in a couple of other forums where people describe how they accomplish this with the 7th Gen. Something about heating up the light casing like putting them in the oven for a very short time so that the silicone will loosen enough to pull the light apart. Then they paint the housing black. Put them back in the oven to make the old silicone runny again and then put new silicone (starting to sound like an old episode of Baywatch huh?) on them to seal them back up. Sounds like something thats doable. I am just a little shy about taking apart my new car like that this soon. I was thinking about getting a couple of regular headlights off of e-bay for cheap and giving it a shot with those. That way your not out a ton of dough. And no risk hurting your baby because leaving them just a little to long in the oven will make the headlight unit crack.

Yeah sounds about right, same thing with the 6th gen, except our housings don't crack. They melt. And they cost ~$250 each depending on how nice your dealer is :)
