So was doing some random surfing today and found that a popular combo engine swap is using the 4cylinder K24 block and transmission from a 7th generation Accord with a K20a head from the RSX type S. Apparently this brings up the torque and HP numbers greatly.... with >200hp combo attainable.
Any gear heads here knowledgeable about this and is this a doable mod in an accord? I could totally see doing this in a few years but just wondering how much ECU and wiring changes might be required..
Apparently the head is a straight bolt-on.

Well, did some quick searching and this appears more difficult than I thought. Apparently the accord pistons don't have the proper valve reliefs, etc... just the tip of the iceburg.

yep, you need a CRV block to make a K24/K20A2 hybrid motor. but i'm sure you can make it work with different pistons that give a bit more clearance.

Yea us K24 owners got jipped with a cheap, pseudo-vtec head. The K20s have real VTEC technology (there's a big difference when it kicks in). I read it in honda tuning magazine.
