Thanks for the link about the ignition switch. I will call the dealer Monday AM to see if it was ever done to the car in the past. I did check the fuel pump and it was running when the key is cycled. Of course, I checked it at home after the tow. There are things that I will watch if it happens again. I was just trying to get the tow truck on its way and thinking about what to do next. The tach did nothing abnormal when it died. No jumping erratically. I was wondering about the fuel situation too. It was just below 1/4 and in thinking, that is the lowest I have ran it since I bought the car several months back. I bought a bottle of dry gas to put in when I fill it up soon.
