Hey guys! I'm new to the forum. Had my car for about 3 months now and had the tranny already replaced! GRRR 6th gen tranny lol. Anyways, cars getting up there in miles, at about 93k miles and I'm guessing maintenance is coming up and thought i'd join a forum to help me diy this and also talk shop with other accord owners.

Love my accord drives great even with cheap-o tires. Can't imagine what it would drive with some nicer ones.

Cool, cool! New tranny = change the fluid religiously. (I see your trying to in another thread lol) What tires are you rolling on? Your next maitennace that's a pretty big deal is your 105k mile service. Take a look in your owners manual, this is the time where the timing belt gets replaced, seals, water pump, etc. Its a really big deal, so save your pennies now. I had mine done by Honda, and it was upwards of a grand...way upwards. You could probably have it done by a good Honda shop, and pay alot less. If you do it yourself, remember that if you make just one tiny little error, you could destroy your valves/pistons because Accord are interference engines.

Best of luck to you, and Welcome to DA!

Yeah I have a local guy that does work on my car and my pops car. The guy does real good work cheap and is very honest. I was thinking of diy'ing it but all that tdc stuff and getting that crank pulley bolt off may be beyond me. Thanks for the welcome!
