....from Ohio. 98 black currant coupe. Currently working on collecting parts for a rear disc swap and to get my car repainted in the spring. After that its rims and a new drop. In the mean time I'll be piecing together a full N/A f23 build.

Not everybody needs 100% of their car to be street legal...it's just like having no front license plate. Ain't illegal til you got caught.

Well I got caught once without the front lisence plate, told the officer that my car didn't come with a mount for one (The Plate holder was off of the car after being cracked by someone who backed into it). He bought it, and I was allowed to go on. I got a new plate holder that night :lmao: . :paranoid:

Reverse lights are required on every car. My car is legal, though by the amount of times I'm followed, the local PD's probably think I'm not. How often do you reverse on a public road? Never, atleast you shouldn't. Unless a cop caught me in a parking lot (which is private property) he can't do shit anyways.

I dont keep a front plate on my car but I keep the plate in the glove box and use that very excuse if I get pulled over. The front plates just dont look right on the 7th gens. I forget what the reason behind having a front plate was, I wanna say it was because thats the place cops use to point their radar/laser at when they are sitting in front of you on the road clocking you.

I don't know about the radar thing but for sure they use it in things like red light cameras. In CA they're allowed to pull you over JUST for not having a front plate (unlike other laws ie. they can't just pull you over to check if you're 16 and over).

You guys are lucky, 98-00 bumpers have an extension just for the plate, if it's not on there it looks ugly.

Well, we have red light cameras here in Cleveland and they only take pics of the car from behind. Not sure about the rest of the state, but when Cleveland's cameras went up, there was a lot of hoopla and they publicized how they work and all that and I didn't see anything that took pics from the front. :dunno:

A belated welcome from me. Enjoy it here. One of my friends doesn't have reverse lights on his 6th gen coupe, either.

Our Odyssey is Black Currant Pearl, too.
