Hello All,
I am a new member as well as a new owner of a 2dr 5speed 2002 Honda Accord LX with about 92XXX miles. I bought this car from a private seller with the hood, left head light, front bumper, and radiator support damaged. It is also in dire need of a paint job. This is my first car so I am all new to this.

Any recommendations on cheap/quality body shops or know of anyone with spare parts laying around in the Santa Clara/San Jose area? I really want to get this car up and going ASAP.

Any pointers and tips on how to go about caring for my new baby would be great too!!!

(i will post pictures soon)
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

If it's a common color, you'd be better off finding the crunched parts some used replacements. Worry about the paint later.

Hoods & bumpers are often in the junkyards & not that difficult to remove. You may need to tug & pull to get the holes to line up, but as long as there's no frame damage....it would be fine.

Is the nasty paint just where it's been crunched? Or has it been neglected all over?

Welcome to the forum.....

I'd start with the radiator area.....since it's going to be a running issue & wouldn't be seen as you practice all that tugging & pulling!

yup, pretty much what he said. Ur better off finding replacement parts than taking it to a repair shop to fix as it would cost alot. I know ebay sells the hood and headlight, sometimes the even have bumpers. I dont know about the radiator support though
