I have recently, well since early winter '02, been having problems with fuel gauge accuracy on our Accord. It would rarely show full. It would bounce around a lot until it got down to around 1/2 tank.
Thanks to Princess for posting the TSB & a courteous dealership (not the one I purchased from!), problem was solved w/o much fanfare. SB 98-056 applied to my car. It says only 98-99 models, but I guess we have high sulfur in our gas in AL. I think the more likely explanation is that a supplier slips in some of the old parts from time to time to avoid scrapping large numbers of fuel gauge sending units. I used to work for a Mercedes supplier, so I remember those days not-so-fondly.
