is the canadian accord vin numbers different than usa ones?
The long cranking TSN (03-079) was released in Oct 21, 2003, I know my car was built in June/July 2003, I assumed my car should be in the affected list... however, the vin range of this TSB is: "2003 Accord V6 4-Door – From VIN 1HGCM6...3A000001 thru 1HGCM6 ... 3A070490", I am in canada, my vin number is 1HGCM6 ... 3A807039", it looks strange... is the number 8 means canadian accord? Do you guys know if the TSB is a global thing? or north america or USA only thing?
my car has the long cranking problem since day one, the dealer cound't reproduce the problem (you know this doesn't always happens).
BTW, I have read from other forums that some dealers suggest to wait few seconds before turning the key to ignition position after iserting the key into the slot, so there are 2 different long cranking problems? one is normal - need to wait few seconds, and another is this TSB, how do I distinguish these problems?
Thanks
