Deer finally got me!!

After almost three years of running 90+ miles a day in West Virginia and rural central Maryland and dozens of close call with Bambi and her parents, one lay in wait for me as I came around a long sweeping turn and ran smack into the passenger side of my '03 V6 EX (73K miles). Destroyed the outside mirror, messed both passenger side doors (rear one has a deer's butt sized dent). First major dings on this car. Scrambling now to find body shop that repair damage quickly and correctly. No insights to deer hunting or avoiding, just venting. At least car is drivable and no real structural damage apparent. Haven't tried passenger side doors (want appraiser to see all the deer poop and hair).

The upside is you are OK and the car is repairable. Still I do know the mental pain from having your ride hurt. I've been there done that more times than I would care to remember and thats not counting the cars I have had stolen. Oh the joys of ownership.

Corrected.

But seriously, the good news is you're not hurt.

At least there are no moose around those parts! As Ward pointed out, it could have been a tragedy.
